System Strength Analysis

System Strength Analysis is a muscle testing exam based on the technique developed by Dr. Richard Versendaal over several years called Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA). CRA is a form of kinesiological testing in which there are many forms. System Strength Analysis is also one type of muscle testing/kinesiological testing.
System Strength Analysis provides information about the energized status of the body and its various organs, glands, and systems without using invasive procedures. The muscle system is used as a barometer to analyze the various meridians and contact points located along these pathways for the integrity of energy flow. The therapist touches one of the surface contact/reflex points and introduces energy into that particular system as a challenge to the system's integrity. If the muscle strength of that particular point remains when it is challenged, it is interpreted that the particular system, organ, or gland is energized and potent. If the contact/reflex point test weak, or is defeated by the challenge, it is interpreted that there is loss of energy or adequacy about that particular system, or gland.

A weakness is never equated to a diagnosis of a disease or a condition ( i.e. if the liver test weak, it does not mean that the liver is sick-hepatitis, cirrhosis, inflammation, etc), only that the particular system, organ, or gland is lacking in energy to resist the challenge test.
Weaknesses are interpreted as areas of need in which the body may require cleansing, strengthening, or repair. Clinically, after a few months of nutritional support specific for the target system, organ, or gland which is identified as weak, the contact/reflex point can no longer be defeated by the challenge test, and usually there is an improvement in the individual's state of well being, health, and symptoms associated with that particular function in the body.
There are many ways to strengthen a particular weakness, such as nutritional supplementation to enhance function in the specific area of need, lifestyle modification to unburden the physiology, integrative manual therapy to help restore structure to improve the function, acupuncture to remove blockages in the normal flow of energy through the meridian pathways of the body, mind/body therapies to release muscle memory, chiropractic care to influence the nervous tone and energy reaching the tissue, and so many more.
Using muscle testing employs upper motor pathways in the nervous system, which are theorized to be weakened when the body is challenged. This results in widespread muscular weakness which is identified by a muscle or muscle group. Type A muscle fiber contraction requires a significant amount of energy to contract and this is why any challenge to the system can weaken the muscles.
This type of approach, allows a quick survey of the body without invasive procedures or expensive tests. The enlivening achieved through this approach is exciting to experience in your own body. It creates an interest in finding weaknesses in particular systems, organs, or glands before they manifest as conditions or diseases and is remarkably a true form of prevention.
